I normally go by the name ''stderr'', but when I created my account on "that other site" the name was already in use, so I had to pick something else. One of my domains is ''stderr.dk'', so I wanted to use that, but I think slashdot have (or had) a problem with dots in usernames or something, so I had to use ''[http://slashdot.org/~stderr_dk stderr_dk]'' instead.
